Mechanical Engineer - Connector Design
Irving, TX
Plastronics Socket Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to
design and develop burn-in sockets for the semiconductor industry.
The job offers a high degree of autonomy and responsibility in one
of the most exciting areas of semiconductor manufacturing.
Customers include all the large multi-national semiconductor
companies and involvement in the latest in connector and
semiconductor technology.
Responsibilities include the release and
revision of drawings for new and/or existing product lines; ensuring
that products meet the reliability, quality and performance
requirements per industry standards; work with manufacturing
organization and suppliers to assure design for manufacturability;
coordinate with customers, sales, and product management to develop
design requirements for new products. To qualify you must have a
BSME with at least five years experience in the design and
development of electronic connectors and/or sockets. Experience
with Autodesk Inventor is a plus. Compensation to $90K.

Engineer is responsible for resolving customer inquiries for product form,
fit and function. This position will assist in creating and up dating of
literature, product support tools and product training. Three years
experience with the development and manufacture of connectors and cable
assembly is preferred. A Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of
education and experience. Position is located in upper Midwest.

equivalent configuration of education and experience. Located in Minnesota
with compensation of $60K to $90K.
