Mechanical Engineer - Connector Design

Plastronics Socket Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop burn-in sockets for the semiconductor industry.  The job offers a high degree of autonomy and responsibility in one of the most exciting areas of semiconductor manufacturing.  Customers include all the large multi-national semiconductor companies and involvement in the latest in connector and semiconductor technology.

Responsibilities include the release and revision of drawings for new and/or existing product lines; ensuring that products meet the reliability, quality and performance requirements per industry standards; work with manufacturing organization and suppliers to assure design for manufacturability; coordinate with customers, sales, and product management to develop design requirements for new products.  To qualify you must have a BSME with at least five years experience in the design and development of electronic connectors and/or sockets.  Experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus.  Compensation to $90K.
