NICOMATIC is best known and respected for their component manufacturing, and adherence to close tolerances in quality and product performance. The company specializes in the development and manufacture of interconnection solutions and metal dome switching technology for all types of man/machine interfaces. Company president Paul NICOLLIN founded NICOMATIC in 1976. Initially, NICOMATIC concentrated exclusively on micro-screw machining parts. Strong demand led to own development and manufacturing of other custom products. Production of 2,54 mm connectors for flexible circuits started in 1984 and the company's hard work, and dedication was rewarded. Other products followed the trend : PCB connectors and test terminals, 2mm pitch micro-millimetric connectors, specific connectors, FFC Card Cable and Jumper cables. The successful, ISO 9002 (1999) and ISO 9001 (2003) certified operation expanded to serve new industries such as : aerospace and military, mobile phones, telecom, medical and Electronic manufacturing and assemblies. In answer to the growing demand for office and manufacturing space, NICOMATIC added space to the original facility in France (2003). 3 subsidiaries - USA, Brazil and Korea also dispose from their own facilities. NICOMATIC has continually invested in production equipment including: CMM connectors, CRIMPFLEX® connectors and SWITCH'AIR® domes for mobile phones. Every possible effort is made to produce a superior product of unimpeachable quality, function and value. From its origin in 1976 as a micro screw machining company, NICOMATIC has taken advantage of its precision know-how to specialize in connectors development for the electronic industry. By acquiring know-how as a subcontractor first and then as a manufacturer from 1984, NICOMATIC became a worldwide leader in connector design and manufacture for the electronic industry, thanks to internal development and the global sales network put in place over the last fifteen years. The company's connectors range includes : Micro-connectors: millimetric connectors offering large combination possibilities for contacts with an integral locking mechanism and a high temperature insulator developed for the aerospace, defense, instrumentation & control, medical and transportation applications. They can be used under the most extreme environmental conditions. Connectors for flexible circuits: the CrimpFlex® connector system is one of the few connector systems available for flat conductor products, especially membrane switches, printed ink circuits, flexible PCBs, and flat flexible cable (FFC) jumper assemblies (NICOMATIC also manufactures flat cable and FFC Card Cable).
