The Subconn® connector has been produced for nearly 24 years in Burwell, Nebraska. The Subconn® underwater mateable connector has proven it’s worth in some of the most unforgiving environments in the world. These include offshore oilfields, full ocean depth search and discovery, underwater welding, seismic readings, and many others. The connectors have been used on land, in streams, in shallow lakes and extensively in most of the ocean environments of the world. They have endured under the sun too, having been exposed to intense heat for extended periods in areas such as Louisiana, Nigeria, Venezuela, and Indonesia. The Subconn® connector has proven it’s ability to handle abuse from being dragged through dirt, having equipment dropped on them, and enduring general poor maintenance and lack of care by crews all over the world. The customer base consists of most notably the US Navy, NASA, NOAA, Foreign Navy’s, major Universities involved in Oceanographic work and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute which utilizes funding from the National Science Foundation for it’s engineering and research in the ocean environments. The Subconn® product range has nearly doubled over the past 10 years, and more than 20 years after introducing the consecutive o-ring design, Subconn® continues to lead the way in wet mateable connectors, offering the most reliable connections possible in wet environments. The product line consists of standard circular, micro circular, low profile, right angle, metal shell, power connectors, penetrators, and many varying special connectors designed for specific applications. Pin counts vary from 2 to 16 in most configurations. The uniqueness of the connector is the consecutive o-ring design that you must see for yourself to understand how it works. The Subconn® connector is manufactured in Burwell, Nebraska by Loup Valley Machining & Manufacturing, Inc.. The connectors are marketed through a longstanding exclusive distributorship with the MacArtney Underwater Technology Group of Esbjerg Denmark and Subconn, Inc. of Burwell, Nebraska. The two companies have a network of sales representatives strategically placed in over 30 locations throughout the world. To visit the Subconn® website, click here. |
